CVE-2026-52755Public exploit

Arbitrary file write via unchecked ZIP paths

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

Path traversal in Ghidra before 12.0.4 allows attackers to write files outside the theme directory through a malicious theme ZIP. ThemeUtils.java constructs extraction destinations directly from ZIP entry names without rejecting traversal sequences that escape the target directory. A user must import the archive through Edit → Theme → Import; resulting writes inherit that user's filesystem access and can replace shell startup or SSH authorization files.
