Controlled file write via multipart filename traversal
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Path traversal in Apache Kyuubi 1.7.0 through 1.11.1 allows remote attackers to write controlled files through REST batch uploads. Multipart upload handling passes the client-supplied filename into temporary-resource creation without constraining the resolved path to the upload directory. Access to the REST batch upload endpoint is required, and writes are limited to locations permitted to the Kyuubi server process.
