Unauthenticated file write via saveTemplate traversal
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Path traversal in reportico-web 8.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or overwrite files through the run.php endpoint. When execute_mode=PREPARE and templateAction=Save are supplied, run.php accepts the saveTemplate value as an unconstrained pathname. No authentication or user interaction is required; writes inherit web-server account permissions, and placing a PHP file in the web root enables code execution.
