Unauthenticated file read via unchecked filename traversal
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Path traversal in IOPaint 1.5.3 File Manager allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a crafted filename parameter. The _get_file method joins filename directly to the selected media directory and returns the resulting existing path without a containment check. The endpoint is reachable only when an input directory enables File Manager; a successful request discloses any existing file readable by the service account.
