Reflected XSS via unescaped URL path
Published Apr 11, 2026 · Updated Apr 11, 2026
Reflected XSS in Themeisle Optimole 4.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts via crafted URL paths. get_current_url() passes the user-controlled request path to replace_content(), where str_replace() embeds it in JavaScript without context-aware escaping. A victim must follow the crafted link, after which the script runs in the affected site's browser origin and can read or alter data available to that session.
