CVE-2026-5224

Sensitive-data retrieval via cleartext storage

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Cleartext storage of sensitive information in Crypttech Cryptosim before 3.1.0.229 allows attackers to read embedded sensitive data. CERT-TR and NVD identify a cleartext-storage flaw, but the public record does not disclose which Cryptosim component stores the data in plaintext or where that storage resides. Published scoring indicates exposure is limited to scenarios with adjacent-network reach and low privileges, with confidentiality impact only and no public indication of data modification or service interruption.
