CVE-2026-5211Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked f_dir copy

Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026

Stack overflow in D-Link DNS and DNR appliances version 20260205 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. UPnP_AV_Server_Path_Del in /cgi-bin/app_mgr.cgi copies an unchecked f_dir value into a stack-local buffer, overwriting the return address. Exploitation requires an authenticated session; the published request uses an admin cookie and demonstrates a persistent service crash.
