Zero-click command execution via crafted text messages
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Code injection in SimpleX Chat before 6.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted text message. The flaw resides in /Terminal/Notification.hs, but the public disclosure does not identify the notification operation that treats message content as executable code. Receipt alone triggers execution in the application's context without user interaction, allowing command-driven access to its data and capabilities.
