Remote service crash via double-free registration handling
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Denial of service in Kamailio 6.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash an IMS P-CSCF through rapid registration traffic. The ims_usrloc_pcscf free_security() path frees shared IPsec security fields without verifying that the pointers remain allocated. Exploitation requires an IMS P-CSCF deployment and overlapping REGISTER, re-REGISTER, and de-REGISTER transactions for the same UE identity; a worker SIGSEGV terminates the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
