CVE-2026-5199Network attack vector

Cross-namespace workflow manipulation via unchecked namespace name

Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026

Authorization bypass in Temporal Server 1.29.0 through 1.29.4 and 1.30.0 through 1.30.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter workflows. The batch-activity worker checks only the namespace ID, then passes an unchecked request namespace name to privileged internal-frontend workflow operations. Writer access to an attacker-controlled namespace, a known or guessed victim workflow ID, and cross-namespace authorization for internal components are required; successful operations can signal, delete, or reset victim workflows or activities.
