Remote code execution via unbounded POST parameter copy
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda A18 15.13.07.09 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted POST request. The fromSetCmdlineRun path passes the wpapsk_crypto5g parameter to set_repeat5, where strcpy copies it without bounds checking into a 16-byte array. The vulnerable branch requires configured2_4g to differ from true and configured5g to equal true, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code on the repeater.
