Unauthenticated file read via traversal path
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Path traversal in WPMU DEV Forminator Forms 1.52.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. The email-notification attachment flow treats the attacker-controlled upload-1[file][file_path] value as a server pathname without restricting resolution to the upload directory. Exploitation requires a public form with File Upload, Save and Continue, and uploaded-file email attachments enabled; exposed files can contain sensitive data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
