Authenticated command execution via unsanitized routing destination
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Command injection in TRENDnet TEW-713RE 1.02 allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands through the dest parameter. The sub_421494 handler concatenates dest into buffer v14 without a length check, then passes v14 to popen, allowing shell metacharacters to become commands. Access to the HTTP management interface and valid Basic authentication are required; injected commands run with the service's device privileges.
