Cloud update workflow restart via unauthenticated MQTT
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Incorrect access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote attackers to restart cloud update checks via MQTT. The cs_broker component accepts a crafted topicurl message without authentication and has wireless.so invoke remoteCloudUpdateCheck. Network access to the device's MQTT broker is sufficient; the documented consequence is repeated update-check workflow execution, not firmware modification.
