Unauthenticated WAN discovery trigger via missing access control
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Incorrect access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote attackers to invoke WAN discovery without authentication. The cstecgi.cgi dispatcher accepts a POST selecting topicurl=discoverWan and invokes discoverWan without enforcing authentication. Network reachability to the management CGI is sufficient; published sources disagree on denial-of-service versus confidentiality impact and disclose no resulting data or failure mode.
