Service interruption via unauthenticated process termination
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Incorrect access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote attackers to interrupt services via a crafted POST request. The unauthenticated /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi endpoint dispatches topicurl=killProcess to the killProcess handler, which terminates critical device services without checking authorization. Network reachability to the management CGI is sufficient; successful exploitation stops those services, causing a device-level denial of service.
