Unauthenticated cloud update checks via missing access control
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Incorrect access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote attackers to trigger cloud update checks via HTTP POST. The cstecgi.cgi handler invokes CloudSrvVersionCheck for a crafted topicurl value without first requiring authentication. No authentication is required; the public disclosure labels the impact as denial of service but identifies no resulting crash, hang, reboot, or shutdown.
