Edge-filter weakening via unauthenticated VPN configuration
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Incorrect access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote attackers to weaken edge filtering via HTTP POST requests. The setVpnPassCfg handler at /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi applies firewall pass-through parameters without authenticating the requester. Network access to the management endpoint is sufficient to change VPN pass-through settings and reduce filtering at the router edge.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
