Upgrade-status disclosure via unauthenticated CGI handler
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Incorrect access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote attackers to read slave upgrade status without authentication. The getSlaveUpdate handler at /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi accepts a crafted topicurl POST request without enforcing authentication. Network access to the management endpoint is sufficient, and successful requests disclose status and alter upgrade bookkeeping.
