Unauthenticated RTSP connection reset via oversized fields

Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Improper input handling in Tenda CP3 V3.0 firmware 31.1.9.91 allows remote attackers to reset an RTSP connection via oversized fields. The RTSP request parser handles a 10,000-byte URL or header value by sending a TCP RST without an RTSP error response. No authentication is required, but the RTSP service remains operational and continues accepting connections, so the demonstrated consequence is limited to the triggering client session and dependent client state.
