RTSP service crash via overlong clock value
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in the Tenda CP3 V3.0 RTSP service on firmware 31.1.9.91 allows remote attackers to crash the service. The PLAY request handler performs an unbounded stack copy of the clock= value from the Range header instead of validating its length. Exploitation requires a standard unauthenticated RTSP handshake before a crafted PLAY request; the demonstrated consequence is loss of RTSP service on TCP port 554 for all camera clients.
