Live-stream access via replayable RTSP credentials
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Authentication bypass in MERCURY MIPC252W 1.0.5 Build 230306 Rel.79931n allows remote attackers to view live video streams. The RTSP Digest service accepts previously issued nonce and response pairs indefinitely when submitted in a new authenticated DESCRIBE request. Attackers must capture a legitimate exchange from the adjacent network; successful replay exposes the live feed without the device password.
