Chat data disclosure via unchecked user identifier
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Broken object authorization in Bottinelli Informatica Vedo Suite 1.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' chat data. The api_vedo/chat endpoint trusts the client-supplied utente_chat username and returns the referenced user's resources without checking object ownership. A valid low-privileged account and another valid username are sufficient to expose private conversations, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
