Unauthenticated Administrator-account creation via unchecked role parameter
Published May 21, 2026 · Updated May 21, 2026
Privilege escalation in Divi Form Builder 5.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to create Administrator accounts through registration. The registration handler trusts the POST role value instead of enforcing the form's configured default_user_role setting. A reachable user-registration form is required, and no prior account is needed to obtain full WordPress administrative access.
