Arbitrary file read via unsanitized camera path
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Path traversal in C-MOR Video Surveillance 6.0104 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary system files via HTTP. The show-movies.pml endpoint incorporates the cam parameter into a filesystem path without blocking encoded parent-directory sequences, so crafted requests escape the intended recording path. No authentication is required; disclosed proof-of-concept output shows exposure of files readable by the web service, including /etc/passwd.
