Service interruption via unbounded multipart spooling
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Andrei Marcu linx-server 2.3.8 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted POST request. The uploadPostHandler calls FormFile before processUpload enforces Config.maxSize, causing oversized multipart bodies to be spooled to temporary storage before rejection. Network access to the upload endpoint is sufficient; repeated unauthenticated requests can exhaust temporary disk space and make the service unavailable.
