Stored script execution via raw check-in message
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Stored XSS in Koha Library Management System 25.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via checkinmsg. The item-type template passes the stored check-in message through html_line_break and then marks it raw, causing browser-executable markup to be rendered without HTML encoding. Administrator access is required to store the payload, and another user's browser must render the affected content for script execution in Koha's origin.
