Stored script execution via unescaped public notes
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Stored XSS in Koha Library Management System through 25.11 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through item public notes. The OPAC item detail page renders stored items.itemnotes free text without neutralizing executable web markup, causing a visitor's browser to run the payload. Exploitation requires edit_items permission and a visitor to open the affected OPAC detail page, exposing data and actions available to that visitor's session.
