CVE-2026-5076Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via plaintext password-reset keys

Published Jun 2, 2026 · Updated Jun 2, 2026

Improper authentication in ARMember Premium 7.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over user accounts via exposed reset keys. The password-reset handler writes a plaintext key to arm_reset_password_key while WordPress stores only a hash, and the armrp action accepts that plaintext key to set a new password. Exploitation requires disclosure of wp_usermeta through a separate flaw, after which any account, including an administrator, can be taken over.
