Memory exhaustion in Apache ActiveMQ before 5.19.8 and 6.0.0 through 6.2.6 allows remote attackers to crash brokers via OpenWire. WireFormatInfo unmarshalling trusts size values in the properties map and allocates buffers without enforcing a maximum during protocol negotiation. The affected client, broker, and all-in-one artifacts expose this path before authentication; no user interaction is required, and termination interrupts messaging.
