Stored XSS via unescaped MultiSelectDialog result rendering
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Stored XSS in MultiSelectDialog in Frappe Framework 17.0.0-dev allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The result renderer interpolates raw server-returned field values into HTML body, title, link, and data attributes before jQuery parses and appends the markup. The attack requires write access to a searchable DocType and a second user to open the dialog, exposing that user's session data and actions.
