Stored XSS via unsanitized dashboard headline rendering
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Stored XSS in Frappe Framework 17.0.0-dev allows attackers to execute script through a crafted Form Dashboard headline. The Form Dashboard set_headline path wraps untrusted headline text in HTML and passes it to the layout message renderer without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires control of stored headline content and a user to view the affected form, causing script execution in that user’s browser.
