Stored XSS via unescaped schedule template rendering
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Stored XSS in Auto Repeat in Frappe Framework 17.0.0-dev allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The update_reference method stores reference_document without neutralization, and the schedule template interpolates it into HTML appended to the form DOM. When a user with Auto Repeat write access supplies a payload and another user opens the form, the payload runs in that victim's Frappe session.
