Account takeover via poisoned password-reset links

Weak password recovery in LimeSurvey 7.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over accounts through poisoned reset links. The password-reset flow builds the emailed URL from the unvalidated HTTP Host header, while a null allowedHosts setting leaves LSHttpRequest::checkIsAllowedHost() ineffective. No authentication is required, but the attacker must know the username and email and relies on a recipient or mail scanner opening the link to disclose the validation_key for replay.
