Route manipulation via omitted HTTPTrigger path validation
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Improper input validation in Fission before 1.25.0 allows remote authenticated users to create unsafe HTTPTrigger routes through Kubernetes. HTTPTriggerSpec.Validate() and the API-server CEL admission rules omit RelativeURL and Prefix checks applied only by the CLI, admitting empty, traversal, root, reserved, or internal paths. HTTPTrigger create permission is required; accepted routes can claim router-owned or internal paths and alter request routing in the default configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
