Cross-site scripting via namespace sanitization bypass
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Cross-site scripting in affected Angular releases allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a target user's browser through a crafted template. The template preparser fails to classify namespaced SVG script elements as scripts, while security-context lookups mishandle namespaced attributes and can select no sanitizer. Exploitation requires user-controlled templates to reach runtime compilation, custom namespace prefixes, no separate input sanitization, and passive interaction by the target user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
