Same-origin XSS via Unicode index misalignment
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Angular @angular/platform-server allows remote attackers to execute same-origin script through SSR-rendered pages. Domino's raw-text serializer mixes UTF-16 code-unit indices with Unicode character offsets, so an astral character shifts replacement and leaves a following closing tag unescaped. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled text inside a raw-text element and a user to load the rendered page, enabling script execution in that site's origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
