Authenticated internal network probing via validation fallthrough
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
SSRF in Koel before 9.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to probe internal hosts through the radio-station creation API. The URL rule chain omits Laravel's bail directive, so HasAudioContentType sends HEAD and fallback GET requests after SafeUrl rejects a private address. Any non-admin account reaches the endpoint, and distinct errors disclose host or port reachability; response bodies are not returned and stations are not persisted.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
