Improper input validation in System.Net.Security in Microsoft .NET 8.0 through 10.0 allows remote attackers to crash or hang TLS applications. TLS handshake processing accepts a malformed request without validating the specified input type, causing the application to crash or become unresponsive. The affected application must expose TLS/SSL processing through a vulnerable runtime; exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction and affects availability only.
