CVE-2026-50522Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unverified session tokens

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Deserialization in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition allows remote attackers to execute code over a network. The session-security-token handler accepts tokens without properly verifying their cryptographic signature before processing serialized state. Exploitation requires chaining the forged token with another flaw; resulting code runs as the SharePoint service account without user interaction.
