CVE-2026-50471Hinoki check available

Local code execution via NTFS heap overflow

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows NTFS allows local users to execute code after required user interaction. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected NTFS function, parser path, malformed field, or exact overwrite operation beyond the heap-based overflow. Exploitation requires no prior privileges but does require another user to interact with attacker-controlled content, and successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
