Authenticated code execution via unchecked settings copy
Published Mar 29, 2026 · Updated Mar 29, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Belkin F9K1122 1.00.33 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash the device. The formSetSystemSettings handler passes the webpage-derived p_reboot_msg value to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing the reboot_msg stack buffer. Low-privileged access to the web management interface is required; exploitation can interrupt service or execute code on the appliance.
