CVE-2026-50363

Local privilege escalation via heap buffer overflow

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows Push Notifications allows local users to elevate privileges on affected Windows systems. Microsoft identifies the vulnerable component and memory-corruption class but has not disclosed the affected code path or the operation that overruns the heap buffer. Exploitation requires existing low-privilege local access and no user interaction, and successful exploitation grants elevated control over the operating system.
