SYSTEM code execution via exposed ServerManager WMI method
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Improper access control in Microsoft Windows allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM through the ServerManager WMI provider. The provider exposes a dangerous WMI method to low-privileged callers instead of enforcing access restrictions before invocation. Exploitation requires the ability to run low-privileged code locally and grants complete SYSTEM-context control of the affected host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
