Improper privilege management in Microsoft Windows DNS allows local users to bypass Zero Trust DNS enforcement on affected Windows builds. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected function or the incorrect privilege operation performed when Windows DNS handles the local action. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access; the demonstrated consequence is modification of security-policy enforcement, with no confidentiality or availability impact.
