Information disclosure via reversed GLX length check
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in X.Org X server before 21.1.23 and Xwayland before 24.1.12 allow local users to disclose server memory. The __glXDisp_ChangeDrawableAttributes handler reverses its request-length comparison, letting a client-controlled numAttribs count drive reads beyond the GLX request buffer. Any connected X client can reach the read; a separate write path requires byte-swapped clients, a feature disabled by default.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
