Administrator RCE via exposed Supervisord XML-RPC
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Remote code execution in Appsmith before 2.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to run container commands. An exposed /supervisor/RPC2 Caddy route accepts Supervisord XML-RPC calls, while the admin environment API reveals the required password. The twiddler.addProgramToGroup method registers attacker-supplied commands for immediate execution as the appsmith user inside the Docker container.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
