Remote code execution via trusted JSDoc hover links
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Code injection in Angular Language Service before 21.2.4 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted JSDoc hover link. The server forwards unsanitized brackets, links, and control characters from JSDoc into Markdown that the client renders with isTrusted enabled. Exploitation requires the extension to be active, a crafted project or dependency to be opened, and the developer to hover over a symbol and click the link.
