Heap corruption via unchecked negative parameter identifier
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Out-of-bounds heap writes in Tencent ncnn 20260526 and earlier allow attackers to corrupt memory through a malicious model file. ParamDict::load_param checks a signed parameter identifier only against the upper bound, then uses a negative value to index before its fixed params array. An integrating application must load attacker-influenced parameter data; the controlled four-byte write can crash the process or corrupt adjacent heap state.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
