CVE-2026-50103

Subscriber crash via NULL dataset callback element

Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in MZ Automation libIEC61850 1.0.0 through 1.6.1 allows attackers to crash GOOSE subscribers via malformed frames. The two-pass parseAllDataUnknownValue TLV parser allocates a dataset slot but leaves it NULL when a recognized Float, BinaryTime, or UTCTime value has an invalid length, then passes the NULL element to subscriber callbacks. A single unauthenticated Layer-2 GOOSE frame on the local segment reaches the flaw; the optional R-GOOSE path shares the parser but is disabled by default.
